Rokusek Design was selected to assist Quincy’s Main Street organization (Historic Quincy Business District) as it reviewed its brand identity. HQBD formed an executive committee of board members and its Executive Director to lead the project. We put together a team of our staff to facilitate discussion, offer brand marketing advice, and implement design and programming decisions.
After a thorough audit of existing HQBD identity, communications with stakeholders, and other branding elements, the executive committee decided the organization needed a complete brand overhaul. A new name was the starting point of the rebranding, and it quickly became apparent to the board – for a variety of reasons – that The District was the best name for the organization.
With the full participation of the executive committee, the Rokusek team used the name and the sense of the organization that emerged from the communications audit and brand evaluations to develop a new logo, new typographical treatments, and a suite of design elements that would encompass print, digital, and video uses of The District’s brand.
You can see some of the results for yourself, and learn more on The District’s website at thedistrictquincy.com.
All of us at Rokusek Design are extremely proud of the work we did with this project. Our offices are in The District, and we live and play here, too, so this project was important to us on several levels… and we think we pulled it off rather well!
